Use the wave speed equation to solve the following real-life problems. The questions become gradually more challenging and will require you to calculate wave speed, frequency and wavelength, as well as rearrange the equation. Remember to write down the equation, substitute the values carefully and include the correct units in your final answer.

- Speed = distance ÷ time = 340 ÷ 1 = 340 m/s
- Speed = distance ÷ time = 24 ÷ 8 = 3 m/s
