AQA A-level Physics: Every Key Equation (Interactive PowerPoint)

✏️ Paper first! Work out every question on paper before you open the answer. Write down every step – the equation, the numbers with units, the rearranging and the answer with its unit. In the exam, if your final answer is wrong you can still get marks for correct working, but only if the examiner can see it.

The data sheet gives students the equations. It doesn’t tell them which ones aren’t on it, which they must be able to derive, or the mistakes examiners see every year. This PowerPoint does, one equation at a time.

What’s inside

  • 127 equations across all eight core sections (3.2 to 3.8) and all five options: Astrophysics (9), Medical physics (7), Engineering physics (11), Turning points in physics (9) and Electronics (7).
  • Three slides per equation. Learn: the equation, every symbol with its unit, a worked example and an examiner’s tip. Practise: three questions, from warm-up to stretch. Check: full worked answers.
  • 381 practice questions, all checked.
  • Data-sheet badges on every equation: on the data sheet, on it except for a named part, or not on it. A one-slide checklist shows everything students need to learn, such as the potential divider, gas laws, orbital speed and period, escape velocity and distance of closest approach.
  • 15 derivations, each placed straight after its equation. Needed: the five the specification names – d sin θ = nλ, E = V/d, pV = ⅓Nm(crms)², T² ∝ r³ and the inverting amplifier. Stretch: ten more showing where the other key equations come from.
  • Common mistakes on the answer slides, including points from AQA’s examiners’ reports: internal resistance, mm² to m² conversion, angles measured from the normal, and counting the maxima from a diffraction grating.
  • Every slide labelled with its spec section and which paper it’s on.

It’s fully interactive in slideshow mode: menus, a hub for the options, and one-click links between Learn, Practise, Check and the derivations. Use it for teaching on the board, revision lessons, homework or independent study.

Format: editable PowerPoint (.pptx), 415 slides, widescreen. The links work in slideshow mode in Microsoft PowerPoint. Checkout is handled by Payhip and the download link arrives by email straight away.
